“I’m sorry. If you don’t have ID, I can’t serve you alcohol, miss” said the bartender who had seen me 10 times before and never carded me. Are you kidding me??? I am 45 years old and I come into this place all the time. We had walked to a local bar/restaurant after a lovely walk on the beach. I was looking forward to a pineapple mimosa (my favorite 🙂 ) since we walked from the beach, I didn’t have my ID on me. I wanted that drink. I was not happy. I fumed all the way home bitching and complaining to my better half. All he could do was shake his head. Later that night he said “You know, that guy probably just thought you were way younger than you are. You should take it as a compliment!”. I didn’t take it as a compliment, I was sure that he had done it just to mess with me. I dropped the subject. Was it possible I look way younger than I am? No, couldn’t be. The guy was just a tool.
A couple weeks later, I was at Trader Joe’s buying Prosecco for Hawaii Blue. Again, I got carded but this time I had my ID on me. After passing it to the check out lady, she looked me in the eyes and said “Wow! You look amazing! You do not look your age at all. Your skin is gorgeous! What’s your secret?” I was taken aback. This was a sincere compliment. I was a little embarrassed! I handed her my business card for Hawaii Blue and told her to come in and see me. As I walked to my car, I thought to myself, maybe I do look years younger than I really am….that trip to Trader Joe’s made my day!
On a recent trip to DC, we stopped in a restaurant before settling in for the night. Again, the bartender asked me for my ID. I didn’t think anything of it. Until the woman began looking very intently at me. She looked from my ID back to me and said “Kudos to you! Way to go girl! I never would have thought you were 45 years old!”. I told my better half about it when he got back to the table. He said “See, I told you. You do not look your age, at all.” I was beginning to think that yes, I actually do look much younger than I am.
I continued to think about it for the next few days. I wondered what exactly it was that made me look so young. My dad looks way younger than his age. People are always shocked when they find out how old he is. A life of running and living clean has been very good to him. Luckily, I inherited his youthful looking genes!
I also have a lot of help from Kimberly Quinter, our PA and the best injector on the planet! She is good, I mean really good. She did a cheek augmentation on me yesterday, filled in my tear troughs and marionette lines and gave me a small lip augmentation. I swear I look 10 years younger today than I did yesterday! And my face is still slightly bruised and swollen. Actually, Kim said to me yesterday how nice and firm my skin was. She said the needle just glides through it like butter. 🙂
But how did I get such nice skin? My great skin is from using medical grade skin care products, our organic facial oils, chemical peels, nano needling, Botox and genetics.
I also stay looking younger by minimizing exposure to the sun. I use sunscreen religiously and wear a hat whenever I’m outside.
If you want to see how we can help you look 10 years younger, book an appointment today on Schedulicity for a free consultation! You won’t regret it. And you just might find that you have to keep your ID on you at all times! Because you’re going to get carded too. 🙂
